Friend,

How would you like to receive a free Caribbean Cruise for Christmas, or maybe a brand new Lexus SUV or even a new home? Most of us wouldn’t have those kinds of expectations because we don’t have friends that could afford such gifts.

You do have one friend, however, who affords a gift for you that infinitely surpasses anything money could buy. God so loved you that He gave His only begotten Son! Love motivated a perfect God to give the free gift of salvation for sinners (John 3:16).

Too Expensive For You And Me!

A sinless and holy God knew that you and I could never afford eternal life because heaven is a perfect place and the guilt of just one sin forbids us from entering there. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” At our very best, we could never reach God’s standard of perfection. No church, ritual, or religion, no promises to do better, or performance of good works could ever suffice. Our sin disqualifies us before God. We are guilty of breaking God’s perfect law
(James 2:10).

Purchase Price Paid!

The Bible reminds us that “…the wages of sin is Death…” (Romans 6:23).
Because of our sin we have earned sin’s penalty, eternal death. Ultimately, our sinfulness makes us worthy of the judgment of an eternal hell. Revelation 20:15 says, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Friend, the Good News is that Jesus Christ came from heaven, as God in the flesh, so that He could go to the cross and pay the death penalty for your sin and mine. God sent His sinless Son because He is the only one qualified to meet His standard of perfection. Jesus Christ died in our place and was punished for our sins. God’s perfect justice demanded that sin be paid for and Jesus was willing to pay the expensive cost and infinite price by His own shed blood (1 Peter 2:24).

What A Christmas Gift!

Money could never buy eternal life, forgiveness of sins and being made right in the sight of God. No gift could compare with this! God’s Word says, “Christ died for our sins…he was buried, and …he rose again the third day…” (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). Right now, Jesus Christ is alive and He offers to be your personal Saviour from sin, death and hell. Comprehend that—a free gift you could never afford, bought for you by a loving and eternal God! Jesus has the power to give you new life and a relationship to God by the new birth. Remember, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8, 9).

It Can Be Yours!

Friend, this expensive, fully paid, once in a lifetime gift is ready for you to receive. You decide! Christ bought it for you, but you are responsible to accept it. It is not automatic. Millions reject Christ by refusing to repent of sin (Acts 17:30) and personally receive His free gift. Please don’t miss your opportunity to be saved! Are you willing to change your mind about sin and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ today? Here is God’s promise: “…As many as received him (Jesus), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12). The gift will be yours when you exercise saving faith, not superficial faith. The Bible warns that even the devils believe there is one God but they do not have eternal life (James 2:19). It is not enough just to know about God’s salvation in your mind. You must let go of anything else you are trusting in and fully place all your dependence on Jesus as your only way to heaven (John 14:6). Then, and only then, will God forgive you and give you eternal life
(John 3:36). Will you call upon the Lord Jesus and receive Him by faith Now (Romans 10:9, 10)?

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner bad enough to go to Hell. I also know that You paid my judgment when You died for me and rose again. The best I know how, I’m asking You to save me from sin and Hell. I am placing my dependence only on You to forgive my sins, make me righteous, and give me eternal life. Thank You for such a gift and for saving me.     Amen.
